About this site
AZ Did What!? explains what new Arizona laws and executive orders change and who they affect, in plain words, for people with no legal background.
Where the text comes from
The full text of each law comes from the Arizona Legislature's website, azleg.gov. Executive orders come from the Governor's office, azgovernor.gov. Voter-approved measures will be added once their text is loaded. None are included yet. Every item links to its official text. The official text is the only authority. A summary never replaces it.
How summaries are made
Every summary is AI-written from the text of the law. No person reads each one before it appears. Each summary is checked automatically: a second automatic step compares it with the text, looks for claims the text doesn't support, and looks at the law's markup to see what it changes. If that step finds a claim the text doesn't support, the summary is rewritten once, automatically, and checked again.
Automatic checks can miss errors. A summary with no label can still be wrong. If a decision depends on it, read the official text.
What "Flagged for review" means
An item is marked "Flagged for review" when an automatic step couldn't confirm part of its summary, or couldn't finish. The label doesn't mean someone is checking the item right now, and it doesn't mean the summary is wrong. It means only that the automatic checks couldn't confirm something. The reason is shown on the item's page.
The Legislature's staff write their own summaries of bills. These staff summaries are not compared with the summaries on this site automatically.
Corrections
Every item page has a "Report an error" link, or you can email digest@azdidwhat.com. When a mistake is confirmed, or a later change is known, a dated correction note is added to that item's page.
Summaries describe the law as enacted
Each summary describes the law as enacted. Later laws, court rulings or referendum petitions can change the picture. This site doesn't follow those changes automatically, so check the official text for the current wording.
What is covered, and what isn't
This site covers laws signed in the 2026 legislative session, and executive orders signed since 2026. This site is not complete. It only shows items it has found and processed. It doesn't cover bills that didn't become law, city or county rules, state agency rules, or court decisions.
The governor's vetoes are noted only as counts. Vetoed bills don't become law, so they aren't summarized here.
Laws and executive orders signed before this site began tracking them are kept in an archive, outside the weekly digests: 2026 archive.
Search
Search runs in your browser from a list of items the page downloads once, so what you search for goes to no other service and isn't written to this site's access log.
Weekly digests
Each Sunday evening, Arizona time, the items published during the week are gathered into a digest. The home page shows what's new since the last digest, followed by that digest. Every past digest stays at its own address under past weeks. You can also get each digest by email with the signup box on any page.
